A solar feasibility study is a detailed report evaluating the possibility of installing a solar system at a particular site. We take into consideration the site specific factors that can influence system design, equipment selection, and installation cost. These reports are intended for building owners and ofter used in grant applications.

  • Solar Resource Assessment report showing the PV system energy performance impact of shading, system tilt and orientation using HelioScope.

  • Preliminary site plan including proposed PV system location

  • Preliminary single line diagram (SLD) including planned electrical components, voltage drop calculations, and a detailed schedule of system components

  • Financial summary with estimated cost, including estimated tax credits, accelerated depreciation, grants, and potential Energy Trust incentives, as applicable.

  • A brief outline of any design, permitting, zoning, structural, electrical, or interconnection considerations that may affect the potential system design, project timeline or installation cost.

Summary of the Energy Storage System use cases that the chosen equipment is capable of providing that have grid benefits. Any other potential benefits that the Energy Storage System can provide.

  • Site specific equipment selection considerations and recommendations for racking, mounts, inverters, and energy storage systems.

  • A brief outline of any design, permitting, zoning, structural, electrical, or interconnection considerations that may affect the potential system design, project timeline or installation cost.

  • Preliminary site plan including proposed PV plus storage system location

  • Preliminary single line diagram (SLD) including planned electrical components, voltage drop calculations, and a detailed schedule of system components

  • Analysis of customers electricity consumption and utility tariff rate.

    • For new commercial construction, a modeled load profile with 15-minute or maximum 1-hour data

  • Financial summary with estimated cost, including estimated tax credits, accelerated depreciation, grants, and potential Energy Trust incentives, as applicable. Financial benefit provided by the solar array for all proposed and the financial benefit provided by the battery storage system.

 

ETO Incentives

The Energy Trust of Oregon, ETO, provides incentives for solar feasibility reports, system design, and installation. The ETO covers 80-90% of the cost of a feasibility report for most non-residential customers.
